A monoprint is a hand pulled print that is one of a kind and is hand embellished. This was a fun wintertime artist “paint out” project where I got together with Sue and Lori Bolt out at the Bolt Grangehall Studio and we let the paint and imagination go wild. They have a hand press and we had a wonderful day laughing and exchanging ideas and just trying something new. I am normally so traditional in my paintings so it was fun to just let loose and see what happens. Sometimes artists like to get together for a day of painting and comradery. She shared wonderful stories of past art experiences and ideas of projects we could do. Sue has so much knowledge and so much to give. Russ jumped in with stories of his own as did Lori with wonderful pattern ideas and examples. I am very lucky to have Sue, Russ and Lori as a friends 🙂
