The Color of Charlevoix Print This is a signed print, stamped with a seal of authenticity on the back. The title and signature are on the front in a white border that frames the print image. Matting isn’t necessary, just pop in a frame. The total size of the image and border fits the size you are ordering.
The Story Behind the Art
This image is a reproduction of the painting, “The Color of Charlevoix”, an original 4 inch by 4 inch painting on canvas that I did working out a design as a table favor for my son’s wedding Fourth of July weekend! I did about fifteen different designs. Each guest family received one, on a little easel, as a gift rememberance for coming to their celebration. This was my big contribution to the wedding. This literally took months to complete all the paintings. And I enjoyed every, single, moment! It was hard because I have had issues with my hands and other “health problems”, but doing it most every day kept me feeling like “me”. My homemade art therapy!
You may have noticed that this painting looks different than my others if you have followed my artwork through the years, more Impressionistic or even Expressionistic. My painting style has changed due to a medical condition that has recently gotten worse and will continue to do so. I can no longer paint as tightly as I once could, nor do the small details I loved to add.
I used this time of working on table paintings to see how my painting was evolving and to embrace it. To see what I could do and could no longer do. It was frustrating as well as exhilarating. For years I had tried to “loosen up” and out of this came hope. I like my new style! I have always loved to learn and grow with my art. Now I’ve just had a kick in the butt!
Sometimes you have to look at the glass as half full to get through the day!

Dimensions: The Color of Charlevoix Print is available as a 8.5 x 8.5 Border Print (image size 6×6) and an 11×11 border print (image size 8×8). It is printed on 100 lb white cover stock so it is nice and thick, quality paper, AND I have the printing done locally!

Prints are printed on 100 lb white cover stock so it is a nice and thick, quality paper. This is a “print”, not a giclée. The ink is baked on archival toner powder that is archival. However, it is always smart not to put any artwork in direct sunlight.
You should, if possible, use UV glass in the frame for best protection. Request from your framer.
