Walking with Pollock Print This is a signed print, stamped with a seal of authenticity on the back. The title and signature are on the front in a white border that frames the print image. Matting isn’t necessary, just pop in a frame. The total size of the image and border fits the size you are ordering.
The Story Behind the Art
This image is a reproduction of “Walking with Pollock”. This is a totally unique piece that was made as a by product of another piece of “functional art” that I made.
I was making some hand painted shoes for myself in “Jackson Pollock style” along with a couple of custom order ones. It is SO much fun to paint like that. You really have to do it outside or have a large studio that you don’t worry about getting a bit messy. I prefer to paint outside when weather permits. Now, Jim, my husband, takes care of the lawn… and does a beautiful job. His rule is that I have to lay a drop cloth down because it is a very messy and he doesn’t want it in the grass. To “paint like Pollock” you have to have a good smooth flow, good arm movement and lots of room to move around. The “extra paint” that doesn’t land on the shoe, falls on the drop cloth (hopefully).
After painting the shoes and considering them “done” and they were dry enough to touch, I removed them from the drop cloth. I looked at the dribbled and dripped paint that was left over. There were holes where the shoes were! It looked like there were footprints hopping across the drop cloth! It looked cool but not perfect. So I grabbed the paint and brush again and added color here and there, just to balance it out. Perfect! I took a walk with Pollock!
I grabbed my camera and took pictures of the images. Looking at the pictures, I thought they looked so good! Putting it into a flat photo helped with the cropping and gave them edges. Quickly, I got some scissors and cut them into “manageable” or “framable” shapes. Mounted them, framed them and they were ready to hang!
A Special Project
I have a little studio gallery in our Airbnb, Thee Dollhouse, that I hang my original art. I either sell them there or on my website. These didn’t make it on to the website! The originals sold quickly. I can offer you prints in a few sizes. Enjoy!

Details
Dimensions: Walking with Pollock Print is available as an 5 x 7 inch border print, 8 x 10 inch border print and an 11 x 14 inch border print. It is printed on 100 lb white cover stock so it is nice, thick, quality paper. This is a “print”, not a giclée. The ink is a baked on toner powder that is archival. However, it is always smart not to put ANY artwork in direct sunlight and use UV glass in the frame for best protection. Archival paper can be requested for an additional charge.

The artwork is photographed in natural light. This brings out the true color of the image. I try my best to match the colors in the photo to the artwork. Slight differences in color can occur due to the calibration in screens, and lighting conditions under which the artwork is viewed.
